So our mission was simple on this day. To simply get the odyssey moving forward by hitting the simplest part of the river. We launched from the public boat ramp/park just west of Hula Hut, paddled to Hula Hut and docked, got out and had a beer and some chips, then portaged through the property as paid customers. We traveled down Lake Austin Blvd, to Redbud Rd and portaged there. Straight shot (more or less) from put in to Austin High School boat ramp. A total of about 3 miles done! 3 down, 859 to go!
